General Artwork Help

Having trouble designing your leaflet?
If you don't have a proper desktop publishing (DTP) package, such as Adobe InDesign, we recommend using canva.com, for details click here.
If you just want someone else to design it for you, see our Design & Print prices!

Please see our detailed information on supplying artwork in the following formats, as they are not normally used for commercial printing.
Microsoft Word (including templates)
Microsoft Powerpoint (including templates)

Do you have any blank templates so I can make sure I create my artwork properly?
Yes we do, the full list can be found here.

We accept artwork in PDF, JPEG and TIFF file formats. Please save your PDF artwork at 300dpi full size. If saving a JPEG or TIFF file, save full size at at least 300dpi, (preferably 600dpi).
e.g. An A5 (148x210mm) PDF should be saved as 154 x 216mm as a commercial print PDF, or highest resolution available depending on the package being used. An A4 (210x297mm) JPEG should be saved as 216 x 303 mm at preferably 600dpi.

We prefer your artwork in CMYK colours.
Most professional design packages have options for specifying CMYK colours instead of RGB. If you have used a package not normally used for design work to create your artwork, such as Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, you should still save and send it as a PDF. When we receive this RGB PDF we will then apply a colour profile to it to change the colours from RGB to CMYK. This may change the colours slightly and may lead to them looking different on the pdf proof and final print. As with all orders, we will send you a proof to approve before printing.
For a little more detail about CMYK and RGB please see our blog post.

If colour, photos or text are being printed to the edge of the paper then please add minimum of 3mm bleed.
Bleed is when you extend colour, photos or text past the page edge of the page to allow for small discrepancies in the print and cut process, meaning that your design is printed past the edge and then trimmed. Add this 3mm extra coverage to the artwork on all edges before saving as PDF, JPEG or TIFF. For a little more detail please see our dedicated page here.

Brochure artwork.
Please supply your brochure artwork as single pages in one PDF rather than spreads, and please make sure you include the bleed as well. We do ideally like PDF artwork for brochures, so there is no confusion over pages, but we can accept pages as JPEG/TIFF, but please make sure they are the correct size with bleed, particularly if you have images spread over pages.

Once you have placed your order we will email you with confirmation and also a link to upload your artwork.
If you wish to send artwork by post please save to disc/memory stick and post to Leafletfrog Ltd, Units 38-39 Britannia Way, Bolton BL2 2HH. Please note that we are not able to return your disc/memory stick.

Once you've placed your order you will receive a link to upload your artwork. If you would like us to check over your artwork before you order, you can send us your artwork files via our secure FTP site here. - Please include a note that you would like us to check your artwork.
